Lance Armstrong and the Arc de Triomphe

Lance Armstrong is seen receiving his laurel. The figures come from the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The ugly black spot is mask over male genitalia on the orginal scupltures. Vive Lance! Vive la France! (I painted this a couple of years ago, but it still remains current.)

I think I remember this one! I like it. We have his buddy George Hincappie riding around town here. My brother has gone on a ride with Hincappie before. Our family has always been into bicycling.

A brilliant and very pertinent portrait. Good likenes too! Hopefully the cancer wilkl not return to claim him. He's a truly remarkable character. Brilliant!
