I went to Huang Shan in China in December because I wanted to photograph the famous mountains there with the first snow of the season. When I arrived, however, it was 17 degrees C. Not really snow weather. Two days later the temperature dropped. It didn't snow but small streams began to freeze and icicles began to form. This little collection was tricky to photograph because the rocks along the stream had iced over as well. Minolta 801si alpha, 85mm lens, Fujichrome Velvia, no filter, no colour manipulation.
