Locomotive 175

Before there was a rush for gold in California miners were digging copper in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Although no mines remain in operation it is estimated that 80 percent of all the copper in circulation today came from this region. What remains are 10,000 miles of abandoned shafts, ghost towns, and a few old steam locomotives such as this 1908 Schenectady built 4-6-0.
