Columbia River Gorge

Available Original Art
MEDIUM/GROUND: Acrylic and acrylic gel medium on gallery wrapped canvas -- no frame needed.

SIZE: 16"x20"

DESCRIPTION: The drive through the Columbia River Gorge, inspired many quick sketches (from the passenger seat, of course!) of beloved scenes. This painting is from one of those 5 second sketches as the sun set on the horizon from the Oregon side. "The Columbia River Gorge is a spectacular river canyon cutting the only sea-level route through the Cascade Mountain Range. It's 80 miles long and up to 4,000 feet deep with the north canyon walls in Washington State and the south canyon walls in Oregon State. The Columbia River Plateau was created by a series of basalt flows. The flows covered 164,000 square kilometers -- portions of northeast Oregon, southwest Washington and western Idaho." -general information provided from ...CLICK HERE.
