Lets Go Exploring

Three young coyote pups going on a little exploration having just emerged from their den which is located to the right at the end of the log and between the bank and the shore of the lake. If anyone has seen my grizzly bear photo (A stroll along the lake) this is the same area. We thought at one time the grizzly was going to dig up the den as he was digging along that area early in the day and the mother coyote was having a fit and had to sit at the edge of the bank looking on as there was nothing she could do..

I am envious of the beautiful territory that you are privileged and fit enough able to explore... man I miss the days when I could go hiking, but I will live vicariously through you and the other explorers on AW. :o) The moment you have captured here is so endearing.. of stepping out on their own... love how they discover who the 'leader' of the group is.. the brave fellow out front! The other two, will follow, cause they don't want to be left out! The waters in the background remind us of the power of Mother Nature, with this tender scene taking place in the foreground... excellent photography!!
