This photo was taken during a break in very poor weather on the South Island of New Zealand, by Lake Rotoroa in the Nelson area. I was walking through the dripping green forest when I came to a small wooden bridge over a little river. A twisted vine branch was hanging in the water. Just then, the sun came through the clouds and trees a little and cast golden light in the river. My camera was ready to capture the moment. Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm lens, Fujichrome Velvia, no filter, no colour manipulation. Copyright Peter Skov.
