Artist Reply: It's lazy.
Forced time. I wanted people to see them for the rushed pressurized things they are.
I almost bought a few hundred dollars worth of oil paint a few weeks ago, but I didn't.
I think I am afraid that no matter what you paint, you must qualify the painting with words.
I mean, you have to bs the audience. Describe it. I wasn't doing my job once I had to describe my art.
So I think I'm going to pack it up for awhile.
I aint got nothing to say anymore than you could say yourself privately.
I accomplished something in that:
no one could decribe why they hated the work
and no one could describe why they loved the work
It is work. I attempted to stay out of that rhealm. But I couldnt.
A silent communication with color..
I suppose it could intoxicate anyone.
I was always and forever just another poor farming beer drinker.
Farming is about as mentally fruitful as painting on canvas. But both teach one thing: patience.
resolve, commitement, understanding..OK go away and make your own sentences.
I'll never paint landscapes for you or anyone. And , yes, I am looking you in the eyes as I type this...
this...my forever.
