It was a damp, grey drive around the east side of Mt. Saint Helens. I was hoping to see the famous volcano but it was not be so on that day. The forest, however, was so enchanting with its deep spring greens. When I saw this reflection I had to stop. Looking at the photograph now I see that I should have used a polarizing filter to cut the white reflections off the grass blades on the left. But polarizers must be used carefully because they can also cut the reflections from the surface of water. Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm lens, Fujichrome Velvia, no filter, no colour manipulation.
