sisters

From a photo by Victorian photographic genius Julia Margaret Cameron. This was yet another failed background experiment that somehow worked. The portraits painted without an initial sketch, fast and loose. Just playing with color really.

fast- loose- bold- and that colour is so powerful... haunting and yet not... great direction geri.. : )

the orange and red vibrate against the background. Painting the hair like that gives the sisters a very sprectral feel too, great piece Geri, I too have been fore going an underdrawing, it gives the piece a whole new character. Well done!

Great intensity of expression through your use of unusual colors. What you perceive to be failures make for a very enjoyable viewing experience.
