Afraid of the Water

In the deep blue sea it lurks, waiting to take a bite out of an unsuspecting swimmer. The movie jaws, scared people out of the water by the thousands, and for good reason. When I was a kid I used to think that Jaws could get into my swiming pool. I know people who still have great fear of the ocean because of it. This peace of art is dedicated to that fear, and to the beauty of the best that congers it.

This is why I don't get into the Ocean! Nice shading , very scary.

Artist Reply: thanks a lot. Jaws scared me for years. I didn't even like swimming in deep pools. :-)

that's pretty cool! I've never seen felt tip markers to do something like this before.

Artist Reply: Ya, it is dificult to blend markers into one another. The trick is to have like a million shades of grey or the same coller from dark to light and just go nuts. So much so that you have to search for which one to use. Thanks for the coment. Have a great day! Sarah L.

Nice pencil work! I'm still looking for sharks whenever I get in the ocean!

Artist Reply: Thanks, I still get scared thinking about the deep blue sea, and all of the giant creatures that were once called dragons by the early explorers. Have a great day! Sarah L.
