Cerro Chalten o Fitz Roy

Mount Fitz Roy (3,407 metres), Argentina. This is a shot I almost missed. After a cold wet night in my tent I really didn't feel encouraged to get up early. But once I looked out of my tent and saw this scene I flew from the sleeping bag and began shooting the remaining light before the clouds began to build up again. Minolta 801si alpha, 24-80mm lens, Fujichrome Provia 100, no filter, no colour manipulation. Copyright Peter Skov

unbelievable. you lead a charmed, but somewhat dangerous life. I am truly jealous.

Artist Reply: The only danger I am really in is my own neglect. I totally trust nature and if I am in trouble ever I blame myself for not paying attention. But I am still here so I guess I am listening well enough.
