Martin, I really like 022002. Are you trying to name them without naming them - so people have to do that for themselves? It's very interesting work - love the colors as well (I know that's lame, but I really do!)

Artist Reply: thank you. It is more like I was trying to produce them with out being present. Lemme clarify a lil bit...when I made these 6? years ago I was interested in units of artistic production. Well, it all is documented. Wether or not you hate Warhol. So the repeating themes within production...yeah I was lucky to find some sucker to let me in their bldg. and prove a point. Then all of a sudden people hand you beer and opprotunities and you know you have to dig in and make something. Anything. Just do it. Get it on the wall. So people can see it and observe something. So that is as far as my humanistic artistic approach goes. I dropped money for wine and canvas and paint... Distracted myself for a bit. Big deal. I made something from within my mind and attracted many humans to view it. Historically, that was what art was about. These days who knows? I personally could care less. Reaction art yeah.well, hmmmm These 'objects of art' are safe. They are enjoyed privately. And after proving to myself I could make something regardless of overall individualism... I suppose I did my job. I am a capitalist. It was fun. I miss those days. In a way. thanks for reading. I stretched all them myself. Them canvases. By my own hand.
Artist Reply: I feel like something needs to be added here. fresh chopped basil? oregano? really, all i was doing with these was attempting to make a 5 sided canvas. As deep as the wall would allow. but you would, for $100 get 5 sides of potential v. 2. It will be known through these words that I like cold Budweiser beer, fast veedubs, good 18thC literature, live rock...and I also enjoy looking back on something I concieved and smoothing out the clay. These were 2001 so they've been public for 6 years? Great. I just use another T-account with art as I do with auto repair. it doesn't have to be done, yet I assume for you it must be...wrong! Correct! red herring? not at all. there is nothing my universe could make you believe. Maybe this will be discussed in the footnotes of other images here. maybe.
Artist Reply: yeah i got way more tense perhaps i am not the new jesus on canvas....sorry folks. tom cruise has a new movie out there somewhere although i dont buy it. this is typed a.d. 08/01/2007 lizard king. fork it. I like the Doors music.
