SilverWolves

In 1999 i began to experiment with scratchboard which is a clay based media with colored paper under the clay which you have to cut with a knife to show the colors under it. It began with a class assiment which then turned to many differant pieces of artwork done on my own time with this being one of them. Taking a photograph of two wolves i began sketching what i wanted onto a piece of paper and using the teachers large old light machine i transfered the image to the board. Getting this image to this state of allmost completion took a very long time and as you can tell there are a few mistakes done that cannot be removed unless you use india ink to darken it out but that presents it own problems. If you do indeed try to darken the mistake out you could indavertantly mess your picture up so i opted to leave it in. Created on silver scratchboard.I dont think it will ever be really done as i'm thinking of going back to using this media just not really wishing to continue on this piece as i dont have a clear picture of what i want to do with this now. If i get enough intrest i may sell prints of this piece but its all up to you the viewer. Your comments are much appreicated but the Golden Rule still applies here. "If you can't say anything nice (or critique worthy) dont say anything at all." Also keep an eye out as i'll be posting more work in an effort to make a sutable gallery and get a few commissions which i need to cover some bills.
