King of the Chameleons

This colored pencil work (22"X28") was commissioned by a gentlemen who wanted me to portray him in my style of work but with an absolute crazy flair and imaginative light. I decided on a mask like facade like a second skin of stripes like a zebra which would give him a mysterious ever changing quality becuase he says hes always changing his looks and personality. I placed green mushroom like shapes within the overall composition that actually become the lenses of the eyes on top. Out stretched arms coming from his head hold brushes and pencils symbolizing him as an artist also , whcih he is. Copyright 2005 by Imaginative Pencil and myself. All rights reserved.
