After the Seeker attack on the Dari hideout in Syrani, Kathra, Eryk, and Jere storm the Seeker Barracks to rescue Kathra's little brother Kiril and her foster mother Rieka, who had been captured and brainwashed years earlier. While the three of them possessed a multitude of talents and skills, going three lightly armed and in a hurry against a dozen heavily armed Seekers was cause for some... reckless behavior. Kathra, of course, took point, and dropped down on the Barracks from above, providing a decoy for the heavy turrets atop the building so that Jere and Eryk could sneak in without the particle beam's destructive power laing waste to everything around them.
