HOLY GRAIL

oil on canvas 16inx20in .This painting deals with the two stories of the death of Christ On the one hand it symbolises the Golden chalice at the last supper. An item which the Knights templar crusaded for.My thoughts are what self respecting fisherman in 31AD would posess such an artifact?Risking excomunication from the catholic church Ive combined the other story that Christ survived the crucifixion and married Mary Magdelene producing issue in the form of a child which has been drotected through time. Hence the chalice representing the womb and the stem representing the birth canal.
