Cusp of the Bloom

copyright 2005. On the edge of insightful freedom and creation. Where thought and reaction become one. The outline was not set in stone. I just let ideas hit me. This piece represents Life and Independence. The figure, nude and facing the light, which gives nourishment to her soul, giving a chain-reaction of maturity and self- direction. She turns away from the viewer almost disregarding everything surrounding her while showing self-assurance with no outside influence.

Very dreamlike... the kind you want to wake up from but often don't... I love your technique. The detail and shadowing is wonderful and evocative... I will be back to see more of your creations!

i really like this piece. your application of the ink and composition are awesome. but i think the piece would be stronger without the person in the bottom right corner
