This is a typical old style or traditional city street. This was taken in Kyushu. Usually, there is an older part of town and then a more modern one unless of course it was unfortunately destroyed. I was living in Kyoto and they had a whole traditional style area of the city which was very beautiful. You could also see geyshas walking in traditional garb. I am not sure I still have those photos, but certainly a very beautiful area.
