Thanksgiving Day 2023 has been celebrated and I hope that everyone had a happy, healthy, hearty, thankful, and blessed Thanksgiving holiday spent with family and friends. I used the Paint program on my computer to create this Holidays theme artwork that depicts the popular symbol of Thanksgiving- the Turkey- strutting along on Center Stage- following behind the partially hidden symbol of Halloween- The Witch- who is just walking off Center Stage. The Turkey is followed by the partially hidden popular commercial symbol of Christmas- Santa Claus- who is about to walk on Center Stage because Christmas is the next holiday to be celebrated now through December 31st. The inspiration for my artwork is the art cover of The New Yorker Magazine- dated November 30, 1998. I think the illustrator was William Steig.
