19" x 13" oval portrait. 440-million-year-old Devonian age marble and semiprecious gemstones. Original hand sketched then inlaid with the different size precious minerals. Created to honor an amazing American actor.

MARVELOUS THIS MUST TAKE SO MUCH TIME AND PACIENTS TO DO.

Artist Reply: Hi Joanie. After sketching the inlay can take anywhere from 36 hours on up, just depends on how large the work is. I also have to break down and tumble the marble or gemstones I am going to use before starting, so the whole process is rather time consuming, but I really love this ancient artform. Hopefully the work will last for centuries.....
