This is so cool Karen! Love it ~ I don't know much about Mexican culture but this is awesome ~

Artist Reply: I’m glad you like it, it’s a mexican piñata I saw in a market. What can I tell you, México is full of color, traditions and yummy food. Thank you for your nice comment.

This is sure costume competition for the New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration. Captivating photo Karen. :)

Artist Reply: Thank you so much my friend Vernonette. Mexican culture is full of color :)

The butterfly motif isn't one you usually equate with death in general, Karen, but I'm not going to say it isn't appropriate since it really does her costume justice here. I assume you muted some of the surrounding grocery store racks, etc., so she would stand out better. Really works. She looks like she's offering her hand in an invitation to dance. Given the theme, this seems very appropriate. Hope you are doing great. :)

Artist Reply: Charles a ‘catrina’ or female skull is always femenine, they use lace and other materials for it. Mexican culture use it a lot in the ‘day of the edad’. This image is a piñata I had the chance to see it in a market, like you pointed out. Thank you for your nice comment.
