We don't seem to really look at one another much these days. People pass and avoid eye contact. Or they see you and cross the street to avoid having to acknowledge your existence. And then we wonder why there is so much social disconnect, so much social division. We are the reason. This is a 6 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond paper. Yes, this character is looking at you just as Original Jones Art would if you crossed his path in northwest Austin, Texas. You might even get a greeting and a smile as well. PS: To you folks here who somehow get so many points and a high rating on this website sometimes overnight, I say this. If you get in the top 25, you get what you require, some extra exposure via the dubious social media conduit. Anything over that is overkill. Being in the top ten here doesn't make your uploads to this site any more interesting or praiseworthy.

True. it's always a good feeling when someone acknowledges you with a good morning , afternoon, etc or a simple smile works too.... I like the forlorn eyes ... very expressive Charles , you do that so well : ) As far as top 25 on AW , it happens if it happens . My concern is creating something I like and I also enjoy looking at what other artists do.. And with that , good evening to you : )

Artist Reply: I'm probably getting a bit preachy in my old age, Dave. But I always feel it better to be the devil's advocate than sit by like one of those monkeys. Not to say I haven't made a monkey out of myself on more than one occasion. About the so-called rating system, I discovered the trick of making points without a lot of effort years ago but even I don't know how to make 20.000 in one day. It ain't natural. ;)
