This painting is the ocean with a sky of clouds drifting above. The painting is in acrylic using gel and modeling paste to create the surface texture of the waves and clouds above. The clouds have an opaque quality as the gel hardened first and then I painted over it. It is painted on a wooden board. The ocean is wrapped around the sides of the 1 inch board and the remaining sides of the board are painted the light blue of the sky.
