After Manet and Renoir

Oil on canvas 18" x 24 I combined two of the great masters's paintings to form this one. I love the impressionists. Therefore this is a copy, but uniquely mine. It was fun to do. Funny thing happened to this painting while I was attending an art school in Minneapolis, Mn. I put it on the top of my car, threw my other stuff in the car and then drove off....I heard a crunch...Yes, I ran over it. The stretcher broke, I fixed that. I pulled all the gravel out of the painting, but at the left hand side there is a definite tire track. I leave it there for the story. People love it...

The colours are very good, like the old masters...

Eileen what a wonderful painting.. You can view each character and get an impression or sence of who they are and what they may be feeling.

I definitely see the resemblances with their styles. Excellent job.
