The photos of the conifer tree cones are beautiful..,these cones are a treasured meal for many animals & birds ,who eat the seed,,keeping in mind the outer protection are the needles,but the seeds & pollen is inside,,that's why as the cone ripens it falls ,when it does hit the ground the cone releases its seeds & pollen,
