This is painted via PAINTBRUSH which is a computer program that allows me to use my mouse to design and paint whatever crazy thing pops into my head...This particular painting has a basis in reality, As a 5 year old lad in Mississippi, I did have a secret pet snapping turtle. Secret because my parents did not know. I kept my turtle hidden in a box in my sock drawer...for they would not have allowed me to keep "MR VELVADEER, which they considered a dangerous animal, and all because of those silly stories about snapping turtles biting off little boys fingers...Shucks, Mr. Velvadeer would never do that; And today I still have five fingers on each hand. but of course as an adult I now realize my parents making me let Mr Velvadeer go out into the world alone without me as his protector, probably saved myself from having a number of fingers missing.
