The Fall of Atlantis

The painting is one of my largest paintings ever completed, and it's certainly one of my best by far (I wouldn't hesitate to say!). It is called "The Fall of Atlantis." Atlantis, as you probably know, is the long vanished continent - once a magical land of high civilization, it met with disaster and sunk deep into the sea. I have depicted an Atlantean sorceress clutching a magical goblet, in a final attempt to either save herself or her land (probably herself, she looks selfish) standing at the eve of Atlantis' final day. A dark storm is coming and the ocean is getting rough, and the land is beginning to crack and fall into magma. 24"x30" acrylic painting on canvas. I love this, the way she hold the chalice. And the hands are amazing. I love it ;)
