This is an 18"x24" watercolor on Bristol. One of a series of superhero images I did connected to the real world September 11th tragedy. The theme is the reaction, the overwhelming sense of frustration and perhaps even guilt superhuman champions would feel in the wake of the terrorist attacks and the inability to avert the disaster. The picture is of Supergirl at ground zero after the towers collapse. Generally seen as a more "youthful" character I wanted to show a more mature version as well as the way certain types of tragedy age us all.
