Doug Henning was an illusionist who was primarily responsible for a revival in the art of magic seen during the 70's. His wide eyed approach to magic created a mystique about him while also exposing his warm and gentle personality. Creating "a sense of wonder" was what he was best at and it was that feeling which he could convey to everyone who saw and adored him. I met him in about 1980, backstage and he was one of my idols at the time. What an amazing person he was - what an incredibly generous person he was - to spend some of his own valuable time discussing magic with me - when he could've easily not bothered with me and just blown me off. I will never forget that night and I will value those precious memories of him always. Thanks again, Doug.
