White Blossom Among The Pink

This was completed in one sitting. I like how simple it is. This pretty little gray mare was my dream horse at one time. Oil pastel on construction paper. I like to use construction paper as a base when using oil pastels because it has the right grainy texture, I can use lighter colors without fighing a white background, and the color itself can help inspire the piece.

Very nice I think the horse feels like she is floating in the air somewhat, if you added a small shadow below her it would help to ground her some but overall this is a really nice piece!

beautiful work...i like the solid pink background and the depth without using a horizon line...good decesion making leaving that detail out..the horse and tree are well painted :)

I love the way the color of the construction paper brings out the other colors!
