Wrath of Typhon

The Greek God Typhon is said to be the "father of all monsters." In this painting, Typhon becomes a demon-like, winged creature emerging from the hot fire and glowing lava of a huge volcano. He grasps the mountain with snaking tendrils as if he's just crawled out of the darkest depths of hell to take out his wrath on the human race. This piece was illustrated for the cover art of the Wrath of Typhon, “Speak from the fire” album. Acrylic on Illustration Board - 16"x20"- Completed in 2012
