In recent days in the state of Maryland where I live, we residents have experienced very cold temperatures- ranging from 16 degrees to 30 degrees, and on and off snowy weather. Very few people have ventured outside except to go to work, go to school, and go to necessary appointments. Winter has made it's presence known. Maryland is forecast to experience a two-day respite of 60 degrees on Thursday 1-12-17 and 58 degrees on Friday 1-13-17, then back to Winter temperatures of 30 some degrees during the coming weekend. I created this artwork showing two children who I labeled 'The Brave Ones'- bundled up in appropriate warm outerwear and venturing out in the bitter cold snowy weather - probably waiting for a school bus, or just enjoying the Winter weather. I used the Paint program on my computer to produce my artwork.
