"Somber Rain" is an abstract painting with thickly applied acrylic paint creating a richly textured surface. While the abstract expressionists inspired me in creating this artwork, I start with no particular image in mind beyond that I know that I want the outcome to be highly textured. Triple primed canvas, up to 8 layers of paint (high quality Golden products) then UV protective gloss for added protection from sun, dust and moisture. It is wired and ready to hang as soon as it arrives at your home. It is a vibrant and active scene. 24" x 24" gallery wrapped canvas with the painting continuing around the 1.5" depth sides. The artwork is signed on the back along with the original title and a signed Certificate of Authenticity will be included.
