This is a beautiful canvas although it does look a bit of a mess - I suppose this is partly because I had a lot on my mind while making it, and partly because my 4 year old daughter insisted on helping me to make it. Her name is Caitlin, which is why in the title it says 'Caitlin's Canvas'. The canvas has been painted first with acrylic paints and then crack medium to make a beautiful sea blue and textured background. Around the edges it has lace, blue string and a silver chain - At the top and in the corners I have put tassels, and then decorated the rest with flowers, blues and silver wiring, assorted beads and mosaic pieces. (Caitlin - 4 years old - helped to stick on the lace and the beads and decided on the silver chain surrounding the picture) The painting is in the style of Mixed Media. It's colors are shades of blues, silvers, greens and purples mainly... It blends beautifully. It has been finished with a gloss paint varnish and a pearly shimmer spray to further enhance its 3D effect. * * * (Please bare in mind that these paintings are very fragile and so please handle with care) This picture is a nice size of 20x20 on a square canvas. It does not come together with a frame and so it is up to your own desire and preference if you would like to frame it or not, but it will be sent in the post on its own and as it is.
