There was a silent contributor to this one, as the base drawing is actually a painting that I picked up for two dollars years ago at a garage sale. Unfortunately, this means I can't give credit to the original artist, but on the other hand I have significantly changed the image itself. The original is quite colorful and optimistic, not to mention depicting a much larger scene then the one here. While looking at it one day I noticed this couple way off in the corner, and felt the need to single them out. Without the flashy colours and clean lines, I find they tell a much different story then the one the original artist intended. While I realize I'm potentially walking the fine lines of plagiarism here, I feel that I've distanced the image enough from the original, which obviously wasn't all that important in the first place if it was sold at a garage sale. Amazing what one finds in the trash these days, no?

Shawn. I like the the way the buildings are distorted. It gives a psychological tension.
