This is a painting that I did from a photo I took in the back yard of friends of my son and daughter-in-law. They all live in california and we were there visiting. I was struck by the lighting of the scene and tried to capture it in this colored pencil piece. I sent it home with my kids at Xmas and asked them to give it to their friends. I hope that they fiind it to their liking. The dimensions of this piece are 8 inches X 12 inches and it is done with Prismacolor Verithin colored pencils on matte surfaced Dura-lar polyester film.

Wonderfully Elegant Steep Mountains against this Fantastic green foilage!

Artist Reply: John: thanks so much! I did this for casual friends of my son and his wife. Their friends live near them out in California. This is the view from their friend's back yard! Begged to be the subject of a painting. I gave it to them as a thank you for having us over for dinner. Best regards, Will
