Lady Felidae

This is a completely redone version of an old piece I did (very clumsily, I might add) in watercolours, that one being titled Cat Lady. This one is done in Prismacolor pencils on dark green cardstock, and I'm considerably happier with it than I was with the older version.

I didn't really know much about her when I did that watercolor version back in 2001, and I don't know much more about her now. I knew then that she was a noble lady of some sort, and she seemed fairly friendly. As I did this version, I think I've discovered that she's a bit higher up than just a noble--maybe even a queen, though I'm not certain--and she's very haughty, proud, and stubborn. She's not *bad*, she just takes a bit of getting used to.

The 8.5" x 11" original of this is available for sale, and p rints are availabe as well.

October 2004; Prismacolor pencils on green cardstock.
