Artist comment: "Each year there are new and extraordinary 'sky sculptures' to delight you at the international kite festival in Long Beach, Washington (and it is my delight to portray them on Canson Mi-Teintes paper with pastel). Soaring along a line held aloft by a large kite, this trio of bright seahorses gleamed in the morning sunshine. In my studio later, I painted them against a rainbow-like sky over a blue ocean and sandy beach. Starting at the top, I painted each one, in turn, focusing on the shine of the fabrics and the wrinkles on the curves. Quite a challenge! Finally I put in the red line to which they were attached."

Edition length is 3600 authorized, signed, limited edition prints (3500 numbered and 100 artist proofs). Prints on paper are signed and numbered by Carol Thompson, include a signed certificate of authenticity, and are shrink wrapped on fome board.
