My First Emmett Painting in Progress

Well...here is where I am at with my first Emmett Kelly, Jr. painting. He is known around the world as the poor hobo clown...always down on his luck...but somehow he always has a spark of hope. I will post the finished product when it is completed!

Beautiful job Patti Jo, just beautiful

Artist Reply: Thaks Jo-Ann. I just wanted to tell you that I just re-posted my finished painting of this one of Emmett tonight. I hope it is as well recieved as this unfinished one! Sometimes I don't quit soon enough. When I was at this stage of the painting, I thought it looked unfinished. But now...looking back at this one...I reather like it that way. Oh well..too late now! Haha! But I could actually sell prints of him at this stage too couldn't I? I wonder if that is done?

Gosh, this is so cool and wonderfully painted. You are amazing Girl! I am proud to know you, even if we never met. I loved Emmet Kelly and this looks so much like him too, excellent rich colors. Emmet Kelly Jr. a great part of his father. Wish I could see him one day. Lucky YOU! I am glad you are blessed. Hope you always are. LOVE Christine

Artist Reply: This is os wierd...this was when my painting was in progress...and it must have come up on random shots or something. I just renewed my membership last night and suddenly I am on the top ten! Check out the finished one...it is much brighter and of course...complete.

What can one say to an artist of your stature? nothing the work is of high standard the nose well he is a clown and the same as the mouth he is supposed to make us smile for awhile and to forget life thank you so much for allowing us to view this piece and good luck Patti Jo

Now that is an image I like! Although the nose and mouth really dont fit... (despite meaning to look 'painted') they look almost cartoonish and it really doesn;t match the rest of the image (ignore me if you meant to do that...) In any case I do really like it, and your painting skills ae fantastic. Lovely piece of work.
