I had the privilege of visiting an area yesterday that is normally off-limits to the public. The owners graciously allowed a group of 29 nature photographers to shoot to our hearts' content. It is preserved by the family who farmed and homesteaded it since the 1880's. There is still a pure natural flowing spring, acres of wildflowers and native trees such as this bur oak that is 350 years old.
