This is totally extraordinary! I have truly never seen such a complex and detailed painting. I cannot imagine how much time this must have taken you. This certainly gets my Pic of the Day!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you Cathy for your compliment! Preparatory time for this work lasted several years, but the painting itself took me exactly 47 hours! Best regards!!!!!!!!

David Holcombe 03 Sep 2007

This is a complex work, to say the least. You incorporate hundreds of animals in a seamless way. From far away it looks abstract, from closer up, all the figurative elements become obvious. It has something of life's complexity. Man is notably by his absence.

Artist Reply: Thank you David for your interesting comment! You are very kind!

Ruth Palmer 30 Aug 2007

Jessica Hobdell 13 May 2005

This is great. Lots of detail and repeated colors

christine derrick 31 Oct 2004

What an amazing tapestry! I shall have more respect for felt pens in the future! Despite the masses of detail, I still sense that golden owl as being the focal point, in fact everything else has a kind of "swirl" to it, ending up at the owl. Cant give you anything else but 10 for this; the overall image is magic.

Bruce Black 30 Oct 2004

What a fantastic agglomeration of animals, colors, abstraction and feeling. Each part could be cropped to make a painting on its own.
