Artist Reply: Joanie, I'm a real beginner , just started to do watercolor and have so much to learn. This self portrait is an experiment to see if I could use some hints I picked up watching a free online tutorial regarding watercolor self portraits. I started out early in life thinking I wanted to be a commercial artist , took a few classes at J.C. Then got a job with Pacific Telephone, got married and lost Art for the next 50'years. At 70 I'm now just re entering the art world and it's about time. It's so much fun and so much to learn. Thank you for taking the time to visit my work and all the nice comments. Hopefully this time I will stick with it.
