Cedar waxwings spreading tails

photo of a couple of Cedar Waxwings waiting their turn to go eat on the crab apple tree (they go in groups of 20 at a time). Love this one because they are spreading their tail feathers

Artist Reply: I have never seen them fanning tails before either. I love how it helps to show all the marvelous details Mother Nature used on these darlings! Despite what it looks like in this picture, they are not one on top of the other, just sitting on branches right above the other.
