very nice i particularly like the translucent quality you've captured in the icicles.

Artist Reply: Ian: thanks so much. I did put a bit of effort in trying to achieve that look. I wanted to have them show up, but look realistic. I'm glad that you find how I rendered them pleasing. Have a great day. Best regards, Will

Wow, crazy details! Wonderful perspective and an outstanding background...do you ever get lost in the twigs and branches? :)

Artist Reply: Jane: thanks so much for your comments. This is a unique perspective. Inside looking out. I was drawn to the beauty of the hanging icicles. Their smooth, simple contours against the involved background of the winter tree branches. I like doing branches and find this relaxing to render also. The colored back lighting is mine, not natures. I felt that this light would better emphasize the icicles. I'm glad that you enjoyed this particular piece. Even though I'm not a big fan of winter, I too like this one. Best regards, Will.

Wonderful work, Will !!! The trees are simply magnificent and the icicles perfectly done ! Congrats!!!

Artist Reply: Marie-Claire: thank you so very much. It is always good to hear your comments. I love doing trees in winter. Doing so many branches is relaxing, believe it or not! The icicles were interesting subjects and I added the sunset background to give the whole composition nice backlighting. Glad you enjoyed it. Best regards, Will

Wonderful and intricate composition - especially the balances and contrasts between the background and foreground.

Artist Reply: Tony: once again, thank you so much for your comments. This is a unique scene that I saw at a local nature center through the window looking outside. The icicles against the background of the winter tree was so interesting. I love doing winter trees with all the branching so obvious. I took the liberty of adding the background color to help support the image of the icicles. Thanks again and best regards, Will

Wonderful !!! I like your drawings where trees appear, you realize very well the shapes of trees. Excellent art! Congratulations Will.

Artist Reply: Angel: thank you again for your very kind words. I do like doing winter trees. This is the one season that they actually reveal their true selves. The icicle was an added mood setter. I added the background color to give the appearance of sun rise or sun set. Again thank you. Best regards, Will
