A colored pencil painting done on Dura-Lar polyster film. I'm an avid bicyclist and I could not pass up this beautiful setting. I wish that I was one of the bikers, but that will be another day. The location of this painting is South Haven, Michigan, a place well known for its beautiful sunsets. Dimensions are 4 1/2 inches by 6 inches.

Very nice. This reminds me of where I live I recently photographed joggers and bikers on the long beach boardwalk and have been waiting to get inspired to make it into a painting. The sky is great in this piece. Maybe I'll start putting ideas down.

Normally I don't like sunsets - not even Turner's. What I like about this is its linear and its near-abstract quality. It could almost be a Japanese woodblock print, except for those colours.
