The geese were swimming single file, but the ducks were more loosely organized swimming together in a group. The leaves were changing into autumn colors, and the cool air was giving a hint of the winter winds to soon arrive. As it turned out, the winter of 2013- 14 was extremely cold and had record snowfall. The roses died way back and so did a lot of bushes. My 4 o'clock seeds did not survive the winter and re-seed themselves as they had for many years. Why is it that global warming keeps getting colder?
