Varnish a little cracked but overall good color. Wear to frame. This the second portrait of the young general Gabriel Kleber to surface over the last two years. Although vey similar, the piece in question shows the famous general carrying a sword, a detail that is missing from the other portrait. We have, to date, no good explanation as to the reason for this omission. Furthermore, we find that the emblem of the Oromys Order is not represented on this piece. Very little is known about Gabriel Kleber, except the fact that he was a close friend to the famous Danish/Norwegian hero, (There is some serious controversy connected to the question about his nationality) Capteine Hulge Tordenpote.
