Artist Reply: We were there in the summer.......I am getting several strong opinions on this piece from critics I respect, however I am holding my ground..so far..What say you? All of the criticism surrounds the brooding reflection of the cloudy sky in the water which takes up the bottom half of the painting. These opinions say the bottom half is too dominant and confusing. I say it is an abstract side that balances the realistic top half of this work that adds plane, drama and mood.
