Blue Winged Kookaburra - reworked

After studying the original piece I'd painted..I decided the branches were pretty ordinary...so, I detailed them... a better look, I feel.

OH YES, DALLAS.. THIS MAKES A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE.. I LOVE TO PAINT TREES AND LIMBS.. AND I SEE YOU HAVE CAPTURED THE BARK BEAUTIFULLY... LOVE YOUR PORTFOLIO !! JOANIE

Artist Reply: Thanks Joanie...It can sometimes be a disaster in the making to "fiddle" with a finished piece..so I guess I broke the art rules of "Once it's signed - It's finished" ..lol.. Cheers

Beautiful work - great attention to detail!

Artist Reply: Thank you Tom, I am a bit of a detail freak... An art critic told me once that I'm not an artist, only an illustrator... I was initially crestfallen... and then I remembered my art hero, Norman Rockwell, was classed as an illustrator as well..... Then I'm in good company I thought...
