Calavera Couple; Spanish for (Skeleton Couple) is a whimsical take on the popular subject of the Day of the Dead. In this folk art style you see this sweet couple possibly posing for a picture in front of their hacienda. A modern take on traditional and new customs can be seen in this painting. I’m a meticulous painter and have added many, many hours to this piece to give it depth and character, detail and whimsy. The colors are RICH and I cannot for the life of me get them to show up in pictures or scans. I think whomever takes this piece home will be pleasantly surprise at the quality of the color and texture once you hold it in your hands.
